Longxing Island Scenic Area

The Longxing Island Scenic Area is shaped like a long, narrow maple leaf, covering a planned area of 44.5 square kilometers. It is connected to the mainland on the east, with Yixin Island at its northern end, facing it across the water. To the southeast, it directly borders the Jiangsu Shahe Pumped Storage Power Station. The Longxing Island Scenic Area is a new-style tourist destination that combines ecological sightseeing, mountain activities, and fitness leisure.

The island is lush with trees, and along the way, streams flow with sounds like the varying tones of a zither—gurgling and singing. The vegetation on both sides of the stream is fresh and elegant, creating a beautiful and serene landscape. The overlapping green mountains, winding wooden boardwalks, and dense forests of varying heights make you feel as though you’ve truly entered nature and are immersed in a painting of mountains and waters. Upon reaching the scenic area, you’ll find wildflowers blooming everywhere, shaded by green trees with canopies that block out the sun. Even though the outside temperature may reach 37 degrees Celsius, this place feels like a cool paradise. At the mountaintop known as 0 Highland, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of islands in the water and water within the islands. Only when surrounded by such mountain and water vistas can you truly appreciate the poetic imagery: “Two cliffs hang like blades, yielding to a stream between; the stone path winds back again and again, while green hills linger everywhere.”

Opening hours:

Tianmu Lake Shanshui Garden opening hours: Summer 8:30–17:30, Winter 8:00–17:00. In summer, the last boat to Longxing Island departs at 16:00, returning to China Tea Island at 17:00; winter last boat times may be 30 minutes earlier. Please follow the actual schedule at the scenic area.
