Former Residence of Tang Yifen

The former residence of Tang Yifen is a cultural relic protection unit of Changzhou City.

The former residence of Tang Yifen is located at No. 97 Heping South Road in Changzhou. It sits on the north side of the eastern entrance of Qingguo Lane. This was the former home of the Tang family, facing south with its back to the north, bordered by Qingguo Lane to the south, the Chenghuang Temple of Yanghu County to the east, and enclosed by Miaoxiang Lane to the west and north. The site covers nearly 1.28 mu. Today, two rows of single-story houses remain, both being Qing Dynasty-era brick-and-wood structures with flush gable roofs.

The main gate retains a brick-carved door. The rear hall, known as the "Keduotang" (Hall of Mutual Reflection), still has a plaque inscribed with the same name, which is said to have been handwritten by Shi Kefa, a patriotic general from the late Ming and early Qing periods. Additionally, there are two long stone steles inscribed with the "Record of the Loyalty and Filial Piety Shrine," written by Tang Yifen. In December 1987, the municipal government designated it as a cultural relic protection unit of Changzhou City.
