Lujiazui Central Green Space

Lujiazui Central Green Space is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Covering an area of 100,000 square meters, this central green space is located at the exit of the Yan'an East Road Tunnel, right in the heart of Lujiazui Financial District, and is the largest open lawn in Shanghai. Known as the "urban green lung," the lawn area spans 65,000 square meters, with some of the turf being cool-season grass imported from Europe that stays green all year round. The central and northern parts of the green space are dotted with willows, magnolia, ginkgo, and cedar trees, along with various shrubs, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere. At the entrance of the green space stands a sculpture themed “Spring,” composed of eight blooming steel-frame “flowers.” The winding paths throughout the green space trace the pattern of Shanghai’s magnolia flower, resembling the city’s emblem, with the magnolia at its center featuring an 8,600-square-meter central lake designed in the shape of the Pudong district map. By the lake, the landscape pavilion features a main mast 28 meters high, shaped like a white conch or a sail, evoking boundless imagination.

-- Lujiazui is located along the Huangpu River in Pudong New Area, facing the Bund across the river. It is one of the world’s premier financial business districts and has now become one of the most charming places in Shanghai.

-- The area is home to iconic skyscrapers such as the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai International Convention Center, and Shanghai World Financial Center, where the forest of towering buildings makes you feel as if you’re in an urban jungle.

-- In the evening, standing atop these skyscrapers and overlooking the dazzling night scenery will leave you in awe of the modern vibe of this first-tier city.

-- A gathering spot for fashion enthusiasts, with a wide range of international luxury brands, making it a great place for shopping.

-- The area offers Shanghai’s tourist sightseeing buses, with a fare of 40 RMB allowing you to hop on and off at any stop, and you can also take cross-river ferries all day long.

Lujiazui is located along the Huangpu River in Pudong New Area and can be reached by subway or bus.

1. Take Subway Line 2 to Lujiazui Station.

2. Buses such as 81, 82, 583, 870, 992, 795, and 798 can all get you there.
