Qinzhi Yang Dian is a national AA-level tourist attraction and a cultural tourism site.

Introduction: Known as the "Millennium Ancient Temple," Qinzhi Yang Dian is one of the earliest Taoist temples in Shanghai. Legend has it that it was built by Sun Quan of the Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period for his mother, and was renamed "Qinzhi Yang Dian" during the Qing Dynasty under Emperor Qianlong. It enshrines the Great Emperor of the Eastern Peak, hence it is also called the "Eastern Peak Palace."

After being rebuilt in the 35th year of the Qianlong reign (1770), the temple features more than ten halls including those dedicated to the Great Emperor of the Eastern Peak, the Three Pure Ones, the City God, and Guan Yu, along with over 600 various statues of deities. Pilgrims flock to the temple in large numbers during the third, fourth, seventh, and ninth lunar months each year. On the 28th day of the third lunar month, the birthday of the Great Emperor of the Eastern Peak, the "Lotus Boat Festival" is held, drawing even more worshippers. On the first and fifteenth days of each lunar month or other important Taoist festivals, believers from all directions come in an endless stream, filling the air with incense and creating a lively atmosphere.
