Shanghai Expo Park

Shanghai Expo Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The site of the Shanghai World Expo was located between the Nanpu Bridge and the Lupu Bridge, stretching along both banks of the Huangpu River in Shanghai's urban area. The planned land area of the Expo Park was 5.28 square kilometers, and it was divided into five major pavilion clusters: the Individual Pavilion Cluster, the Joint Pavilion Cluster, the Corporate Pavilion Cluster, the Theme Pavilion Cluster, and the China Pavilion Cluster.

The five major pavilion clusters of Shanghai Expo Park are the Individual Pavilion Cluster, the Joint Pavilion Cluster, the Corporate Pavilion Cluster, the Theme Pavilion Cluster, and the China Pavilion Cluster. Among them, the buildings of the Individual Pavilion Cluster were concentrated along the Huangpu River, with each structure funded and built by an individual country to showcase that nation’s scientific and technological achievements; some of the buildings in the Joint Pavilion Cluster were jointly constructed by several countries; others were funded by China and then leased to participating nations for use during the Expo; the Corporate Pavilion Cluster served as exhibition venues for international exhibitors.
