Shanghai Celebrity Garden is located along Zhangyang Road, a major thoroughfare in Pudong, adjacent to the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, Jinqiao Export Processing Zone, and Yangpu Bridge. It enjoys smooth transportation access and lies at the heart of a dense commercial network and surrounding communities.

Built in November 1996 and completed in November 1997, the garden covers an area of 143 acres, with 78% of its space dedicated to greenery. The site features a fountain plaza, a central lake, and lush green lawns.

The garden’s lake is as clear as a mirror, connected by two bridges that divide it into an inner and outer lake. Fishing and boating are both popular activities on the water. The lakeside is adorned with peach blossoms, willows, and shady trees. The fountain plaza and a globe sculpture form a European-style square, which comes alive at night with colorful lights and dancing water jets accompanied by music, creating a dreamy ambiance. Over a hundred white doves soar overhead, contributing to the serene and idyllic pastoral scenery.

Scattered across the lush green lawns are twelve statues of world-renowned figures, bringing together cultural, scientific, and historical personalities from both China and abroad. This rich cultural atmosphere gives the garden its name — Celebrity Garden.

Celebrity Garden Hotel consists of four main sections: a health center, conference center, cultural entertainment center, and recreation center. The hotel features six European-style garden villas situated by the water and surrounded by greenery. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, and the villas are fully equipped with living rooms, meeting rooms, and other facilities. The health center offers a restaurant, sauna, bowling alley, squash court, and swimming pool. The cultural entertainment center includes a cinema, conference hall, dance hall, KTV rooms, table tennis courts, and an ice-skating rink. There is also a children’s playground within the garden.

As part of the “public construction” community green space initiative, the garden is open to surrounding residents free of charge all day, returning green space to the people and benefiting the community. This makes Celebrity Garden a true leisure destination for rest and relaxation for the general public.
