Dishui Lake

Dishui Lake is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Dishui Lake is a landmark project in the main urban area of Lingang New City. Its design concept originates from the master plan by German firm GMP: a drop of water from the sky falls into the sea, creating ripples, and the spot where it lands forms Dishui Lake, which has a diameter of 2.5 kilometers and covers an area of 5.66 square kilometers. It is currently the largest artificial freshwater lake in China. To improve the water quality of Dishui Lake, the Nanhui District built a new water diversion channel that directly channels water from the Dazhi River into the lake, and through ecological and biological treatment methods, the lake water has become clearer. The entire city is built around the lake, reflecting the concept of harmony between man and nature.

Along the lake is an 80-meter-wide scenic belt, primarily focused on landscaping. Not only is the environment beautiful and the scenery pleasant, but it also offers a variety of water-friendly and recreational activities such as beach volleyball, sunbathing, and fishing. There are also three islands in the lake with different functions — North Island, West Island, and South Island.

North Island, known as the "Island of Entertainment," is located to the north of Dishui Lake, covering an area of about 235,000 square meters, and is the largest of the three "pearls." According to the plan, an ocean-themed amusement park will be built on North Island, featuring a water world, an oasis, a game tunnel, and a blue whale performing arts center.

Covering an area of about 60,000 square meters, West Island is positioned as a hub for business and tourism accommodation, where two landmark high-star hotels will be constructed.

South Island, covering about 140,000 square meters, serves as a water leisure and entertainment island. Plans include building a yacht club, yacht harbor, and other facilities. South Island will become a water sports and leisure center capable of hosting large-scale international water sports events, as well as providing fitness and recreational activities. Additionally, a landmark structure called Cloud Tower is planned within Dishui Lake. This towering building will allow visitors to overlook Dishui Lake and gaze at the East China Sea from its top.
