Shanghai Italian Center

The Shanghai Italian Center will not only showcase Italy’s culture, art, design, and cuisine, but also host commercial events such as the launch of Italian luxury brands and economic-trade discussions. The exhibition area, known as the “Tradition and Innovation” themed display, features iconic works such as Michelangelo’s bronze David statue—a symbol of the Italian Renaissance—as well as models of Leonardo da Vinci’s design drafts; from the royal dining table of Rome’s Quirinal Palace in the 18th century to the dome of Florence’s Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. The exhibition presents Italy’s handicrafts, art, culinary culture, jewelry, and the long history of cultural and commercial exchanges between China and Italy from both traditional and modern perspectives.
