Expo Axis
The Expo Axis served as the main entrance and central axis of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo in China. It was the largest single structure within the Expo site, featuring two underground and two above-ground levels in a semi-open architectural design. The Expo Axis was one of the Expo’s “One Axis & Four Pavilions” — five permanent structures that included the Expo Axis, the Expo Center, the China Pavilion, the Theme Pavilion, and the Performance Center. It was a large-scale commercial and transportation complex integrating services such as retail, dining, entertainment, and conventions.
