Shanghai Stock Exchange

The Shanghai Stock Exchange, abbreviated as SSE (Shanghai Stock Exchange), is one of the two stock exchanges in mainland China and is located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The Shanghai Stock Exchange was established on November 26, 1990, and officially commenced operations on December 19 of the same year. By the end of 2009, the SSE had 870 listed companies, 1,351 listed securities, and a total market capitalization of 18,465.523 billion yuan. A large number of pillar enterprises, key enterprises, basic industry enterprises, and high-tech enterprises in the national economy have raised development funds and transformed their operational mechanisms through listing.
