The Nissin Building, also known as the Marine Building, is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit. The Nissin Building (The Bund) is a structure within the Shanghai Bund architectural complex. Located at No. 5 on the Shanghai Bund

The Marine Building, located at 5 Zhongshan East First Road, was originally named the Nissin Building. The well-known Japanese company Nisshin was established here. The building faces east and sits westward, with its main entrance located in the center of the west facade. The Japanese constructed the lower three floors and the semi-basement, featuring a simple architectural style that falls under "Japanese modern Western-style." The upper three floors, built by Jewish developers, boast more elaborate decorations, including overhanging eaves between floors and bas-reliefs above the window frames. The rooftop of the Marine Building features a rare roof garden for its time.
