SAIC-GM Pavilion
The SAIC-GM Pavilion incorporates automotive design elements into its structure, forming a spiraling upward circle with varying heights, symbolizing the continuous burst and ascent of energy, and envisioning a bright future for the automotive industry. The pavilion features the theme film "2030, The Road Ahead," 0.4-micron mist that feels like a spring breeze, and more. It showcases people's vision for the future urban mobility system: zero emissions, zero traffic accidents, freedom from oil dependency, no more traffic jams, and enjoyable driving experiences. The pavilion was awarded the Excellence in Public Architecture Prize at the Shanghai Architectural Society’s Architectural Creation Awards.
