Shanghai International Tourism Resort Herb Garden

The Shanghai International Tourism Resort Herb Garden is located to the south of the Ecological Park and adjacent to Xiyuan Lake, covering an area of 200,000 square meters. It is a long, narrow-themed planting park. The garden is home to nearly 200,000 lavender plants, which create a spectacular lavender landscape during the peak blooming season in May and June each year. In addition, the garden’s colorful flower fields, -, patterned gardens, and crabapple blossom corridors are also great spots for visitors to relax and enjoy the flowers.

Herb Garden Square: Located at the main entrance of the Herb Garden, Herb Garden Square faces the Ecological Park Square from north to south, together forming the dining, leisure, and commercial district around the Disney subway station. The square’s architecture features innovative exposed concrete water pipes as spatial structures, paired with wooden facades to create a uniquely rustic entrance gateway to the Herb Garden.

Flower Field: Right at the entrance of the Herb Garden stands the colorful flower field, which slopes gently like a colorful ribbon. It serves as a visual counterpoint to the cherry blossom grove at the entrance of the Ecological Park to the north, creating an integrated landscape that contrasts vibrancy with elegance, color with simplicity, and motion with stillness. Covering approximately 5,000 square meters, the flower field is artfully planted with a variety of blossoms, forming a river of colors that resembles a medieval abstract painting.

Lavender Garden: Situated to the south of the flower field, the Lavender Garden features lavender, an evergreen aromatic shrub known as the “fragrant herb.” When the wind blows through the blooming lavender, the entire field undulates like deep purple waves, making you feel like a fairy wandering among the blossoms.

-Rose Garden: Located to the northwest of the Lavender Garden, this area is planted with a rich variety of roses, including shrub roses, dwarf roses, climbing roses, and trailing roses. Some varieties bloom from summer through winter, greatly extending the seasonal enjoyment of the garden.

Lawn: The wedding lawn is situated adjacent to the - to the south and southwest of the Lavender Garden. It offers a beautiful setting for lawn weddings, along with backdrops and services, serving as an extension and enhancement of the love-themed -, and enriching the romantic ambiance of the Lavender Garden.

Herb Town: Located to the south of the Lavender Garden and echoing the Yiyi’ou Shopping Village at the southeast corner of the park, Herb Town is centered around the concepts of “ecology, leisure, taste, and fashion.” It integrates diverse formats such as international cuisine, themed bars, landscape restaurants, cultural and creative boutiques, and lifestyle products, forming a uniquely charming European-style town.

Herb Market: Located at the northernmost end of the Herb Garden, the Herb Market covers an area of about 3,000 square meters. As the final stop in the garden, after seeing, playing, and dining, visitors can come to the Herb Market to take home their favorite herbal products to share with family and friends.
