Nanhui Martyrs' Cemetery is a patriotic education base.

Nanhui Martyrs' Cemetery is located in Zhoupu Town, Pudong New Area. Established in 1960, it covers an area of 14,241 square meters. At the northern end of the memorial square, which can accommodate nearly a thousand people, stands an 11-meter-high memorial tower. Here lie the remains of 127 People's Liberation Army soldiers from all over China who bravely sacrificed their lives during the liberation of Zhoupu on May 16, 1949. On the eastern side of the cemetery is a 300-square-meter Revolutionary Martyrs' History Exhibition Hall, which displays the deeds of representative martyrs from four major revolutionary periods: the Great Revolution, the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Liberation War, and the post-establishment era. The western side houses the Martyrs' Names Room and the Educational Audiovisual Room. The cemetery receives over 20,000 visitors annually who come to pay tribute to the fallen heroes. It serves as an important site in the new district for promoting patriotism, revolutionary heroism, and revolutionary tradition education, and has been rated as a district-level civilized unit for over a decade.
