Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, located in the central-southern part of Pudong New Area, Shanghai, is a national-level high-tech industrial development zone in China. Along with Lujiazui, Jinqiao, and Sunqiao, it is one of the four key development zones in Pudong New Area. Established in July 1992, after nearly two decades of development, the park has established the framework for a biomedicine innovation chain, an integrated circuit industry chain, and a software industry chain. Currently, the park hosts multiple national-level bases, including the National Shanghai Biomedical Science and Technology Industry Base, the National Integrated Circuit Industry Base, the National Semiconductor Lighting Industry Base, the National 863 Information Security Achievements Industrialization (Eastern) Base, the National Software Industry Base, the National Software Export Base, the National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base, and the National Online Games and Animation Industry Development Base. In terms of technological innovation, the park features various models and types of incubators, including the National Torch Hi-Tech Entrepreneurship Park and the National Overseas Students' Entrepreneurship Park. A number of new economy enterprises have made significant leaps forward. Today, Zhangjiang is striding towards its vision of becoming a world-class high-tech park.
