Chuansha Martyrs' Cemetery serves as a patriotic education base.

Established in 1956, Chuansha Martyrs' Cemetery is the final resting place of 375 martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives in various historical periods. The cemetery’s central sculpture, “Eternal Heroism,” features three towering flames at the top forming the shape of the character “Chuan” (川), symbolizing Pudong’s Chuansha District’s glorious revolutionary heritage. The Chuansha Martyrs Memorial Hall spans an exhibition area of 200 square meters, utilizing modern technologies such as shadow projection and slide imaging to showcase the deeds of heroes from different eras. The West Zone Martyrs’ Roll of Honor Wall is inscribed with the names of over 500 revolutionary martyrs from the Pudong area. The entire cemetery is shaded by lush pines and cypresses, dotted with pavilions, ponds, and terraces, creating an elegant and serene environment on a compact scale. It has become an open, park-style martyrs' cemetery and patriotic education base in Pudong New Area.
