The Shanghai Military-Civilian Support Work Exhibition Hall is a venue themed around showcasing the achievements of military-civilian solidarity and government support for the people, hosted by the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau and the Shanghai Military-Civilian Support Office. Opened in September 1999, it is the first exhibition hall in China dedicated to displaying military-civilian support work. It underwent two revisions in 2003 and 2007. The exhibition hall vividly displays the deep bond between Shanghai’s military and civilians — "sharing weal and woe, bound by common destiny, and united in heart and soul" — through photos and artifacts. It aims to help visitors better understand that Shanghai’s peace, prosperity, and rapid development are the results of unity and hard work between the military and civilians. Artistically, the design incorporates three core elements: the Great Wall, the military-civilian bond, and the glory flower, set against a warm color scheme that enhances the theme of the exhibition. In 2007, the exhibition hall was awarded “Top Ten Patriotic Education Bases in Pudong New Area,” in 2009 it received the title “Shanghai Communist Youth League Unit,” and in 2010 it was honored as “Shanghai Workers’ Pioneer Unit.”
