Tomb of Zhu Xuefan

The Tomb of Zhu Xuefan is a Shanghai Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Tomb of Zhu Xuefan is located within the Fengjing Cemetery in Fengjing Town. Zhu Xuefan (1905–1996) was a native of Fengjing, Jinshan. He graduated early from Shanghai Law College and later pursued further studies at Harvard University in the United States. He served as Vice Chairman of the World Federation of Trade Unions, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, among other positions. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, he held positions such as Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and Standing Committee Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He passed away in January 1996 and was interred in April. The tomb area covers an area of 589 square meters, faces south, and consists of a bronze bust, a tombstone, and a burial chamber. In 2014, it was jointly announced as a Shanghai Municipal-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit along with the former residence of Zhu Xuefan.

Zhu Xuefan (1905–1996) was an outstanding patriotic democratic fighter and political activist in China. A native of Fengjing, Jiashan, Zhejiang (now Fengjing, Jinshan, Shanghai). He graduated from Shanghai Law College in 1933 and later studied at Harvard University in the United States. In 1938, he co-initiated the preparatory committee of the Chinese Workers’ Anti-Enemy General Association with the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Federation of Trade Unions, among others. From 1936 to 1945, he attended the International Labour Conference eight times as a representative of Chinese labor, striving for international workers' support for China’s war of resistance and participating in the international workers’ anti-fascist struggle.
