Henggang Catholic Church

Henggang Catholic Church serves as a patriotic education base.

Henggang Catholic Church is located in Group 2, Qinwang Village, Zhangyan Town. Its original construction date is unknown. In December 1930 (the 19th year of the Republic of China), it was rebuilt, featuring 22 tiled bungalows and one bell tower. The bell tower was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Currently, the remaining structures include a Mass hall and two living quarters, covering a total area of 669 square meters. The hall faces south with a north orientation and is built with brick and wood structure; it features a gable and hip roof, with three pointed arch doors on the south gable wall; the windows are pointed arch-shaped with stained glass decorations. The interior has a cement floor, and the top of the altar is designed in a cross-vaulted shape. It is now open to the public as a religious site. In 2011, it was designated as a Jinshan District-level cultural relics protection unit.

Qinwang Village: Located in the northwest of Zhangyan Town, Jinshan District, Qinwang Village borders Langxia, Lvxiang, and Jinshanwei Towns. It is traversed by Jinzhang Highway, Jinzhang Branch Line, and Jinshi Highway, with A6 Expressway also passing through the village. The village covers an area of 5.18 square kilometers. After the liberation in 1949, Qinwang Village was part of Qinwang Township, Zhangyan District, Jinshan County, Jiangsu Province. In 1956, it became Changbang Agricultural Production Cooperative; in 1958, after the establishment of communes, it was named Changbang Brigade; in 1984, it was renamed Qinwang Village.
