Ruins of Wang Xuling's Tomb

The ruins of Wang Xuling's tomb are a cultural relic protection unit of Jinshan District.

The ruins of Wang Xuling's tomb are located on the north side of No. 6001, Wulong Village, Zhujing Town, commonly known as the Old Minister’s Tomb. Wang Xuling (1642–1725), originally named Wang Yuanling, with the courtesy name Zhuan Shi and the pseudonym ? Lake, was later known in his later years as the Old Man of Songqiao. He was a native of Zhangyan Town. During the Kangxi era, he participated in the compilation of the History of Ming and successively held positions such as Minister of Works and Grand Secretary of the Wuying Hall. In the first year of the Yongzheng reign (1723), he was promoted to Grand Tutor to the Crown Prince. After his death, Emperor Yongzheng posthumously conferred upon him the title “Wengong” (Cultured and Reverent). The tomb faces south and covers an area of about 40 mu, consisting of a burial mound, a stone path, and stone flagpoles, but unfortunately it was destroyed in July 1956. In early 2008, two epitaphs were unearthed during land leveling and are now housed in the Jinshan District Museum. It was designated as a Jinshan District-level cultural relic protection unit in 2011.
