Shantang Bridge

Shantang Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinshan District.

Shantang Bridge is located at No. 1009, Shantang Village, Langxia Town. Originally built during the Qing Dynasty, it was renovated in 1954 through joint funding by Jinshan and Pinghu. It is a three-span pier-type beam bridge made of granite, running north-south across the West Shantang River. The bridge is 23.70 meters long, 2.13 meters wide, with a clear span of 14.6 meters. It now serves as the boundary bridge between Jinshan District of Shanghai and Pinghu City of Zhejiang Province. On February 8, 2007, it was designated as a Jinshan District-level cultural relic protection unit.

Shantang Village: Shantang Village is located about 3 kilometers west of the Langxia Town area. To the east, it borders Jingyang Village; to the south, it neighbors Pinghu City of Zhejiang Province; to the west, it adjoins Zhonghua Village and Zhongmin Village; and to the north, it connects with Nanlu Village. The village is situated in the central part of Jinshan District’s Modern Agricultural Park, enjoying a superior geographical environment. It is home to distinctive agricultural and sideline industries, green agricultural products, leisure ecological forests, and resort villages, including projects such as EP, Dinghan, and Shencao Aquatic Products. Currently, 70% of the village’s arable land has been transferred for land use rights, allowing villagers to receive rent while also working in the park.
