The former residence of Yuan Shizhao is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinshan District.

The former residence of Yuan Shizhao is located at No. 123, South Street, Fengjing Town. Yuan Shizhao (1901–1931) was a native of Fengjing. In 1925, he joined the Communist Party of China and, together with Lu Longfei, initiated the establishment of the Fengjing Peasants’ Association. In 1928, he participated in the “Xiaozheng Uprising” in Qingpu under the leadership of Chen Yun. He once served as the Secretary of the Zhenjiang County Committee and the Secretary of the Songjiang County Committee. In 1930, he was arrested due to betrayal by a traitor and died a martyr on February 13, 1931, at Taohuawu at the foot of Beigu Mountain in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu. His former residence is a two-story brick-and-wood building where Yuan Shizhao lived and carried out revolutionary work until 1928. It was designated as a Jinshan District-level cultural relic protection unit on October 26, 2005.
