Grand Ocean Cinema

Grand Ocean Cinema is located in the bustling Xujiahui business district in western Shanghai, on the sixth floor of Grand Gateway 66. It is a joint venture between Shanghai Yongle Co., Ltd. and Warner Bros. International Theatres of the United States, covering a construction area of over 6,000 square meters.

Grand Ocean Cinema currently has nine professional screening halls, with plans to add two more specialty theaters, accommodating a total of 1,550 viewers. The overall design of its various-sized auditoriums and corridors was co-designed by Warner Bros., featuring wave-shaped audience passageways that symbolize the Huangpu River, the mother river of Shanghai. The cinema is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology from around the world, including low-rise, wide-angle screens and full high-fidelity sound systems such as SRD, DTS, and SDDS. It also adopts fully automatic and digital projection technologies, making Grand Ocean Cinema the first digital cinema in China.
