The Shanghai Longhua Martyrs' Memorial Hall is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

The Shanghai Longhua Martyrs' Cemetery (Longhua Martyrs' Memorial Hall) comprises three parts: the martyrs' cemetery, the martyrs' memorial hall, and the Longhua Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Site. It is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a National Key Martyrs' Memorial Building Protection Unit, and a National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base. It is an important venue for people from all sectors of society to honor the martyrs and conduct patriotic education.

Covering an area of 285 acres, the Longhua Martyrs' Cemetery includes eight functional zones: the memorial and reverence area, the martyrs' tomb area (where over 1,100 martyrs are buried), the historical site area, the stele forest area, and others. The Martyrs' Memorial Hall houses the ashes of more than 500 martyrs. The cemetery features ten large outdoor sculptures, including the Unknown Martyrs (Eternal Flame).

The Longhua Martyrs' Memorial Hall has a construction area of approximately 10,000 square meters, with 5,000 square meters dedicated to exhibition halls. It hosts the thematic exhibition "Loyal Hearts and Red Blood for the People," showcasing the heroic deeds of 235 revolutionary martyrs and pioneers from the Shanghai area who sacrificed their lives for China's independence, freedom, liberation, and revolutionary cause since 1840. The hall also includes a multi-functional hall and temporary exhibition spaces.

The Shanghai Longhua Martyrs' Cemetery offers free admission to minors and provides a full range of free services for teenagers participating in coming-of-age ceremonies at 18, as well as for joining the Communist Youth League or Young Pioneers.
