Xuhui Art Museum is a non-profit cultural institution in Xuhui District, Shanghai, dedicated to hosting art exhibitions, conducting academic research, preserving fine artworks, and promoting aesthetic education. Established in 1932 as the former "Hongying Library," the museum is situated on the vibrant Huaihai Road. In July 2005, it was listed as a district cultural heritage site and underwent comprehensive restoration, before officially reopening to the public on December 17, 2005.

The main structure of Xuhui Art Museum is a three-story brick-concrete garden villa. Its red-brick arched exhibition hall entrances and original wooden staircases exude an elegant charm that complements the high-quality art exhibitions, making it a rare refined and graceful art sanctuary on Huaihai Road. The museum features 600 square meters of exhibition space spread across two floors, along with functional areas including display rooms, multimedia audiovisual zones, an art salon corner, and an information desk. These well-equipped facilities provide comprehensive and high-quality services for artists and visitors alike. As a professional art exhibition venue with considerable influence in Shanghai and even nationwide, Xuhui Art Museum has long been recognized for its high-caliber art exhibitions within the Shanghai art scene. Since its opening, it has attracted numerous renowned artists from Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and China to participate in its shows. To date, the museum has amassed a significant collection of outstanding works by contemporary art masters, offering excellent conditions for related academic research. Xuhui Art Museum’s refined art exhibitions, rich academic exchanges, and widespread art education initiatives have earned broad social recognition and acclaim. It has even been hailed by China Culture Daily as a “model example of district-level art gallery development.”
