Longfeng Mountain is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Longfeng Mountain Scenic Area is situated on the western slope of the Zhangguangcai Mountain Range, an extension of the Changbai Mountains, about 50 kilometers southeast of Wuchang City and 160 kilometers from Harbin. The area features an elegant and peaceful environment, fresh and fragrant air, emerald-green forests, and jade-like lake water, often referred to as the "quiet green world" and "a pure land beyond the mundane." A United Nations atmospheric background monitoring station is located here. It serves as a green home for your sightseeing and leisure vacation.

The Front Lake Tourist Area is located at both ends of the reservoir dam, covering an area of 8 square kilometers. This area mainly features cultural landscapes, including a kilometer-long dike, a hydroelectric power station, the Hidden Dragon Cave, the Divine Turtle Mountain, and engineering buildings. The Phoenix Mountain Tourist Area spans 12 square kilometers, with its main natural attraction being the "Cock’s Comb Rock," also known as the Lake Heart Peninsula. Surrounded by water on three sides, the peninsula extends into the lake with a shape resembling a cock’s comb, hence also called the "Phoenix Crown Peak." This mountain stands over 400 meters above sea level, with steep slopes and competing peaks. At the summit lies the "Phoenix Crown Panorama," where visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding mountains.

The Red Cliff Bay Tourist Area covers 15 square kilometers, and its most striking feature is the red rock cliff face, which plunges nearly straight down into the lake. Nearly 100 meters high and about 200 meters wide, the cliff creates a sense of awe with its steepness and grandeur. Known as the "Red Cliff and Azure Water," the contrast between the red cliff and blue water is spectacular. At the top of the red cliff, dense forests thrive with ancient trees reaching skyward, creating a tranquil and elegant atmosphere. Here, twelve naturally grown century-old oak trees stand in orderly rows, majestic and uniquely shaped, resembling ancient civil and military officials discussing state affairs before the emperor—so vividly that it’s been named the "Gathering of Heroes."

Longfeng Lake has a vast surface with crystal-clear water, classified as Grade 2 water quality, making it an ideal spot for various water recreational activities. When visitors take a boat out to the lake’s center and gaze into the distance, they are greeted by a natural panorama of blue skies, white clouds, green mountains, and clear waters. Looking closer, flocks of wild ducks display their vibrant feathers, while schools of Longfeng crucian carp occasionally leap out of the water to play.
