Harbin Yuquan Hunting Ground is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Harbin Yuquan Hunting Ground is located 55 kilometers from downtown Harbin. It is known as China’s skiing hometown, the birthplace of the Jinyuan culture, and a renowned destination in Heilongjiang for wine production, building materials, and tourism. China’s first tourist train ran from Harbin to Yuquan, and the country’s first ski resort was built on Beishan Mountain in Yuquan. The Yuquan Hunting Ground is Asia’s largest enclosed hunting ground and also one of the earliest places in China to develop tourist skiing. The entire hunting ground covers an area of 3,000 hectares (30 square kilometers), featuring 17 peaks, with the highest, Heishi Peak, standing at 508 meters above sea level. Although not particularly tall, the summit offers panoramic views that give visitors a real sense of “overlooking all the other mountains.” Over 85% of the area is covered in forest, making it one of the best-preserved vegetated areas around Harbin. The site hosts over 60 types of trees, more than 500 plant species, around 40 bird varieties, and thousands of sika and red deer. In spring, the area bursts into bloom with fragrant flowers, fluttering butterflies, rippling lakes, and the echoing calls of deer in the valleys. Summer brings lush grass and dancing fireflies, creating a scene straight out of a painting. In winter, snow blankets the peaks, resulting in a breathtakingly pristine icy landscape. Additionally, the area features a collection of stone statues represented by the Golden Warrior statue, ancient wells, and sacred springs, earning it the reputation of being a pearl along the Jinyuan Cultural Tourism Corridor.
