Victory Village is located at the border between Lindian County and Qiqihar, bordered by the beautiful Zhalong Nature Reserve to the west and the Wuyuer River to the north. National Highway 015 runs through the village, offering convenient transportation and stunning scenery. Leveraging its transportation and resource advantages, Victory Village’s “one-day agritourism” has gained immense popularity in recent years.

As you enter Victory Village, the first thing that catches your eye is a large, two-story-high blue cylindrical gas storage tank — this is the village’s straw gas station. The principle behind this straw gas station is to combust crop straw under oxygen-deficient conditions and then reduce it, producing a combustible gas mainly composed of carbon monoxide, methane, and hydrogen. After purification, the gas is piped directly into each household.

In Victory Village, each beautifully kept courtyard is equipped with a solar-powered pigsty. This "three-in-one" rural energy and ecological farming model — integrating a solar pigsty, toilet, and biogas system — utilizes the pigsty as the base. A biogas digester is built inside the pigsty, with a toilet constructed next to it. Pig and human waste is flushed directly into the digester using water. Through anaerobic fermentation, biogas is produced and delivered via pipelines to the kitchen, where it can be used for cooking, boiling water, and lighting. This setup achieves both economic and ecological-social benefits in a virtuous cycle, representing a highly replicable and profitable production model. To date, nearly 100 households in Victory Village have adopted this approach.

In Victory Village, shiny solar water heaters are installed on the brick houses, and indoor bathrooms are also available. After a day of work, villagers simply turn on the water tap of the heater, and out flows hot water — allowing farmers to enjoy daily hot showers just like city dwellers, washing away the fatigue of the day. Hot water is readily available for laundry and cooking. The entire village is promoting the use of solar water heaters, elevating the living standards of its residents to new heights.

Straw gas, biogas, and solar energy complement one another, adding further prosperity to this already well-off village known for its fish and rice production. In recent years, Victory Village has capitalized on its proximity to wetlands, fresh air, and clean environment to launch its one-day agritourism program. Visitors can go boating in the wetlands, navigate through reed marshes, listen to birdsong in the morning, and watch fishing in the evening — a true taste of pastoral charm. City dwellers find it hard to leave, while local farmers earn tourism income, leading increasingly prosperous lives.
