Gonghe Reservoir

Gonghe Reservoir is located 20 kilometers northwest of Huanan County and was built between 1958 and 1980. It controls a catchment area of 168 square kilometers, has a dam length of 0.89 kilometers, and a maximum dam height of 10.9 meters. Primarily used for flood control and irrigation, it also supports fish farming on 8,900 mu of water surface. As a medium-sized reservoir with nearly 10,000 mu of water area, it yields 100,000 jin of fish annually.

The reservoir is known for its quaint charm, especially with numerous small scenic spots along the lakeshore. There are stone tables and chairs under the pine forest, an open-air dance floor, and fishing areas. The blend of natural scenery and resort-style landscapes creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere, making it a multifunctional tourist destination ideal for group leisure and vacationing.
