Jixian County’s Seven Star Peaks Park is located in the Wandashan Mountain Range and was established in 1942. Situated 15 kilometers from the county town of Fuli, it is the largest provincial-level forest park in the eastern part of the Sanjiang Plain. Designated as a provincial wildlife reserve in 1980, it has now been approved by the state as a geological park. With a total area of 6,513 square kilometers, including a scenic area of 330 square kilometers, the park features complex and diverse landforms, with an average elevation of 250–600 meters and relative heights of 130–150 meters. The mountains are majestic and dotted with oddly shaped rocks, among which seven uniquely formed rocky outcrops rise prominently from the range. The most famous of these is Seven Sisters Peak, standing at 852.7 meters above sea level as the highest point, accompanied by Tiger Head Peak, Sword Peak, Camel Peak, Buddha’s Hand Peak, Golden Basin Peak, and Wolf Fang Peak. Seven Star Peaks Park is also rich in water resources, with the Hadamo River flowing year-round through this ancient and expansive forest before eventually joining the Songhua River. The park also preserves the remains of former anti-Japanese guerrilla bases.
