Jiǔqū Shíbāwān Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Jiǔqū Shíbāwān Wetland Park is located at the 485-kilometer mark of the Jiamu Highway. This section winds along the mountainside, and once you stop here, a vast expanse opens up before you. Looking up, you’ll see dense layers of dark green pine trees covering the mountains, their peaks undulating like surging clouds and winds, while the rustling pines sound like galloping horses. Looking down, the breathtaking scenery unfolds like an oil painting. The winding Jiuqu River meanders forward like a dragon. Lush green willows line the banks, interspersed with tall and graceful poplar trees. Wild ducks playfully fly overhead, while woodland birds chirp among the hills—offering a truly inspiring view. Especially in the early morning or after rain, when mist and clouds envelop the area, you may feel as if you’re walking on auspicious clouds, evoking the sensation of wandering with the immortals.

Jiǔqū Shíbāwān National Wetland Park covers a total area of 4,929 hectares. Promoted as the “Summer Retreat and Wellness Paradise at China’s Northernmost Point,” it has boosted the visibility of forest tourism in the Greater Khingan Mountains. With its richly pristine attractions—including “Exploring the Primeval Forest, Visiting the Wetland, Climbing Dabai Mountain, and Experiencing Oroqen Indigenous Culture”—as well as travel offerings such as “Forest Sightseeing, Leisure Vacations, Wetland Tours, and Ice & Snow Experiences,” it has become a flagship brand of tourism in the Greater Khingan region.

The zoning and development of the wetland park adhere to the core principles of “comprehensive protection, ecological priority, rational utilization, and sustainable development.” By making full use of the natural and scenic resources within and around the park, it is being developed into a prominent northeastern wetland ecotourism destination with a distinctive overall image, well-established infrastructure, unique wetland landscapes, educational functions, and a blend of sightseeing and leisure entertainment, all infused with rich cultural characteristics.

Location: Near the Jiamu Highway (Gama Highway), Tuqiang Town, Mohe County, Greater Khingan Region, Heilongjiang Province

By Bus: Take a bus from Mohe County to Tuqiang Town; the park can be accessed along the way.

By Car: Accessible via Provincial Highway S207 (Jiamu Highway) at the 485-kilometer mark from various cities.
