Divine Land Arctic Stone Tablet

The Divine Land Arctic Stone Tablet is located in the northern part of Arctic Village, on the southern bank of the Heilongjiang River. Both the tablet body and its base are crafted from roughly hewn natural granite with irregular shapes, standing 5.3 meters tall. The front side is inscribed with four bold characters “Divine Land Arctic” (神州北极), handwritten by Mr. Ma Guangfu, former director of the Standing Committee of Mohe County People's Congress. The calligraphy is vigorous yet balanced, combining strength with grace. This stone tablet is as renowned as the “Southern Heaven Column” (南天一柱), known as the end of the earth, and stands in distant correspondence with it. It serves as a symbolic landmark of Arctic Village and is an iconic structure representing China’s Arctic region. Every visitor who comes to tour Arctic Village takes a photo in front of this tablet as a memento of their Arctic journey.
