Changchun Film Palace

Located at No. 92 Zhengyang Street, Lvyuan District, adjacent to Changchun Film Studio — the largest comprehensive film studio in New China — Changchun Film City was established in 1985. It is a renowned film and television shooting base and also the main venue for the annual Changchun Film Festival, attracting numerous tourists with its unique cinematic culture.

The Film City mainly consists of the New Film Technology Exhibition Area, Classical Architecture Area, Ethnic Minority Scenic Area, Amusement Area, and Tourism Service Area. In the New Film Technology Exhibition Area, there are attractions such as “Movie World,” “Film Palace,” and “Circlevision Movies,” where you can fully enjoy the art of cinema. The Classical Architecture Area features quaint Chinese-style pavilions, residences, and some classical European-style buildings. Additionally, there are amusement facilities such as “Mystery Castle Cave,” “Animal Wonderland,” “Underwater World,” and “Car Park.”

Located in the southwestern part of the city, Changchun Film Studio is the largest comprehensive film studio in China. In recent years, it has opened the Film Palace to visitors, allowing them to tour various sets and see many familiar scenes and props up close. With luck, visitors may even watch a movie being filmed in the studio.

The Changchun Film Festival is a grand event integrating film, culture, trade, technology, and tourism. Since 1992, five editions have been held. During the festival, domestic and international films from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan are screened, along with film evaluation sessions, mass cultural performances, and a variety of tourism activities. There are also large-scale import-export commodity fairs, merchandise and technology exhibitions, and key industrial product ordering conferences.

The first Changchun Film Festival (1992) was held in Changchun from August 23 to 28.

The second Changchun Film Festival (1994) was held in Changchun from August 23 to 28.

The third Changchun Film Festival (1996) was held in Changchun from August 23 to 28.

The fourth Changchun Film Festival (1998) was held in Changchun from August 23 to 28.

The fifth Changchun Film Festival (2000) was held in Changchun from August 23 to 28.
