The site of the former Ministry of Transportation is located at No. 7 Xinmin Avenue. It currently houses the School of Preventive Medicine at Jilin University. The building was constructed in 1935, featuring an H-shaped floor plan and a reinforced concrete structure. The main body of the building has four floors, the wings have three floors, and there is one basement level. The gable end faces Xinmin Avenue in a V-shape. The edges of the sloped roof are decorated with patterns, and the tops of the fourth-floor windows are accented with half-pediments, beneath which are four protruding decorative columns. The entire building is clad in light brown strip tiles and topped with dark red glazed tiles. It is now a municipal-level key cultural relic protection unit.
