The former puppet capital police department is located south of today’s People’s Square. This building is a two-story structure with a basement, built from reinforced concrete. To its southeast once stood a round-domed, steel-framed “detention facility” (i.e., a detention house), which was used at the time to imprison anti-Japanese and anti-puppet activists. Additionally, auxiliary buildings such as a garage were constructed on the front side of the main building. The building covers a construction area of 4,400 square meters.
