By road, it is 60 kilometers from Ji’an city center, passing attractions such as “Guanmen Lazi” and “Stone Forest”; by water, it is 40 kilometers from Ji’an, where you can enjoy magical landscapes like the “Divine Turtle,” “Little Li River,” “Golden Dragon Bay,” and experience the exotic charm of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The Lao Hu Shao tourist attraction is an eco-tourism and China–North Korea border tourism destination developed by the Ji’an City Immigration Bureau using the reservoir formed by the China–North Korea jointly built Wei Yuan Power Plant. The resort covers a total area of over 2,300 acres, featuring one comprehensive building and six bungalows at Qing Shui Villa. It also has a passenger boat that can carry 76 people. The building includes guest rooms, a restaurant, a game room, a dance hall, TV, telephone, and more. A newly built green belt of 12,000 square meters has been established, now featuring lawns, planted with scenic trees and flowers. Over the years, a fruit orchard of 420 acres has been developed, with fruit trees such as apples, plums, and chestnuts planted.

The Lao Hu Shao tourist attraction boasts lush peaks, verdant forests, blooming flowers, and birdsong all around. Towering pines stand gracefully atop the rugged peaks. Standing on the 55-meter-high, 627-meter-long dam of the China–North Korea jointly built Wei Yuan Power Plant, or in front of the comprehensive building of Qing Shui Villa, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the resort — truly a scene where “mountains roll like emerald waves, and waters shine as bright as the blue sky.” Gazing into the distance, the misty waters stretch endlessly, blending water and sky into a vast expanse of green.
