Bawang Dynasty Mountain Fortress was a military fortress during the Goguryeo period. The mountain fortress was built leveraging the natural topography of the mountain ridge, making full use of the cliffs. Stone walls were erected in the recessed areas of the mountain and on the gentle slopes at the southern valley entrance. The total length of the wall is 1,260 meters, and the best-preserved section reaches a height of 5.2 meters. This mountain fortress served as a strategic stronghold on the route to downtown Ji’an.

In 2019, the Bawang Dynasty Mountain Fortress Ruins were included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
