The former site of the Xiajiefang Bridgehead Fortress is a cultural relic protection unit of Jilin Province.

The former site of the Xiajiefang Bridgehead Fortress is located in Xiajiefang Village, Taiwang Town, Ji’an City, approximately 9 kilometers east of the city center. It is an important relic from the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea. It remains a significant border defense area today. The site is well preserved.

The bridgehead fortress is located in Xiajiefang Village, Taiwang Town, Ji’an City, about 9 kilometers east of the city center. It was constructed in 1938 by the Japanese. The bunker stands 15.6 meters tall, measures 6.4–10.6 meters in length, and 3.4–7 meters in width, and has four floors. During the Korean War in 1950, despite heavy bombing by U.S. aircraft, this bridgehead fortress remained undestroyed. To this day, bullet hole scars remain on the walls, serving as a testament to history.

Taiwang Town: Taiwang Town of Ji’an City is located two kilometers east of downtown Ji’an, at the foot of the Laoling Mountain Range near Changbai Mountain. It borders Qingshi Town to the east, Liming Subdistrict and Maxian Township of Ji’an City to the west, Tonghua County and Qinghe Town to the north, and faces the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea across the Yalu River to the south. It is considered a border town.

Taiwang Town spans 33.7 kilometers from east to west and 16.2 kilometers from north to south, covering a total area of 378.42 square kilometers.
