Toudao Town Martyrs' Cemetery, located on the southern slope of Nanshan Mountain in Toudao Town, Ji’an City, covers an area of 3,500 square meters. The cemetery is the burial site of Liu Renfeng (original name Liu Yunfeng), commander of the 6th Regiment of the 1st Division of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army; Yu Jinde, head of the Toudao Town District Federation in Ji’an Town (formerly a political instructor at the Shandong Branch of the Counter-Japanese Military and Political University); Lin Huachun, head of the peasant association in Toutaowaizi Village (now Toudao Village); Li Fengchun, reconnaissance platoon leader of the 373rd Regiment of the 305th Division of the People’s Liberation Army; and other martyrs such as Wang Linhai.

On June 17, 1936, Commander Liu Renfeng led a small detachment of the Anti-Japanese United Army to the valley of Mijiazi Village (now Mijiazi Village in Toudao Town) in Toudao District to collect food and forage. Betrayed by a traitor, they were surrounded by the enemy. Except for one cook (dressed as a farmer) who had gone out early to fetch water from the river and survived, over 30 soldiers of the detachment, under the leadership of Commander Liu, all died heroically during the breakout. After liberation, the People’s Government of Ji’an County (now Ji’an City) began constructing Commander Liu’s tomb on the western slope of Sixin Village (formerly Damiao Village). Later, the cemetery was relocated to the southern slope of Nanshan Mountain in Toudao Town, rebuilt, and additional martyrs who died during the Liberation War — including Yu Jinde, head of the District Federation; Lin Huachun, head of the village peasant association (later relocated by his family); Li Fengchun; and Wang Linhai — were buried here alongside Commander Liu, thus establishing the Martyrs' Cemetery.

Toudao Town Martyrs' Cemetery has become one of Ji’an’s patriotic education bases.

Toudao Town: Located in the northern part of Ji’an City, known as the “Little Jiangnan,” Toudao Town borders Tonghua City, the “City of Pharmaceuticals.” The town administers 18 administrative villages and one community, with a population of 29,000. Covering a total area of 339 square kilometers, Toudao Town has a forested area of 31,907 hectares, making it the largest and most populous township in Ji’an City.
