Chicken Comb Peak is located in Jiguanlazi Village, Shidao Gou Town, Changbai County. Originally part of a continuous ridge in the Shidao Gou area, it sits at the southern end but was split in the middle, forming Chicken Comb Lazi Island. Chicken Comb Peak

Chicken Comb Peak is flat and elongated in shape, with its highest point reaching an elevation of 725 meters. The mountain gradually becomes thinner from the base to the top, where its irregular, sawtooth-like ridgeline stretches out in a straight line, resembling a giant chicken comb standing by the river. The Yalu River flows from east to west, then turns south, and continues westward, brushing past Chicken Comb Lazi. Viewed from afar, it looks strikingly like a rooster drinking water. The mountain's reflection merges with the water, creating a seamless blend of landscape and water—a scene perfectly captured by Li Bai’s poem “Viewing Tianmen Mountain”: “Heaven’s Gate is cleft through; Down the blue stream the sun rolls on.” In spring and summer, the brown boulders on the ridge are adorned by a variety of colorful mountain flowers such as azaleas and wild roses, making the peak look even more like a huge chicken comb. By September, the ridge takes on autumn hues, with maple leaves blazing red as blood, turning the formation into the comb of a hen brooding eggs. In winter, when the surroundings are blanketed in white snow, Chicken Comb Lazi takes on a dramatic yin-yang appearance—the sunny side remains completely snow-free while the shaded side is buried in knee-deep snow. The evergreen pines standing proudly atop the snowy comb showcase the majestic spirit of Chicken Comb Lazi.
