Changbai Pagoda Mountain Park is a cultural tourism attraction.

Changbai County Pagoda Mountain Park is located in the only Korean autonomous county in Jilin Province—Changbai Korean Autonomous County. It is the highest-altitude park in Northeast China, with an elevation of 894 meters and covering an area of about three square kilometers. It is a comprehensive recreational area integrating sightseeing, exhibitions, and entertainment. The mountain was anciently known as Canglong Ridge. Legend has it that in ancient times, a jade dragon flying through the sky looked down upon the picturesque landscapes of Changbai and descended to the earth, transforming into a dragon-shaped mountain that lies peacefully across the land. Changbai County Pagoda Mountain Park is divided into two main sections: entertainment and sightseeing at the foot of the mountain, and sightseeing and exhibitions on the mountain. At the base, aside from children’s play facilities, visitors can also see animals such as sika deer, sables, black bears, and roe deer, as well as over 200 varieties of precious flowers cultivated in the greenhouse.

The Lingguang Pagoda is the main highlight of the park. This ancient pagoda was built during the Bohai Kingdom period of the Tang Dynasty and has a history of over 1,200 years. Despite the passage of time, it retains its charm and remains well-preserved. It is the only surviving Tang Dynasty Bohai Kingdom architectural pagoda in Northeast China, as well as the oldest, highest-quality, and most elegant pagoda in the Changbai Mountain region, often regarded as the “Number One Pagoda of Changbai Mountain.” It is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and an important cultural landmark of Changbai Mountain.
