Changbai Waterfall

Changbai Waterfall is located on the northern side of Heaven Lake, at the end of the Chengcha River. The Chengcha River forms a 68-meter-high waterfall after flowing for 1,250 meters. As one of the scenic highlights of Changbai Mountain, it is named Changbai Waterfall. Due to its significant drop, the waterfall is formed by two powerful water columns resembling snow dragons, creating countless splashes and a flurry of flying snow. Below the cliff lies a pool over 20 meters deep, into which the rushing water flows into the Erdaobai River, the main source of the Songhua River. The Changbai Mountain Waterfall hangs dramatically from the semi-cleft cliffs amid competing peaks, presenting a spectacular and magnificent view. It is the most representative sight among the many attractions of Changbai Mountain and is regarded as the "dragon’s eye" of the entire icy dragon. Changbai Mountain is the highest part of China’s northeastern mountainous region, covering most of the Yanbian, Baishan, and Tonghua areas, with its main mountain range situated in Chiping District of the province.
