Changbai Korean Ethnic Folk Village

The Changbai Korean Ethnic Folk Village is located in the former Orchard Village of Malugou Town, about 3.5 kilometers east of the county town. Situated at the southern foot of Changbai Mountain and the source of the Yalu River, the village faces Huichun City in the Ryanggang Province of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea across the river. It lies along the essential riverside tourism route leading to Heaven Lake on Changbai Mountain.

The architectural design of the Changbai Korean Ethnic Folk Village fully reflects traditional Korean customs and styles, organically integrating Korean culture, Changbai Mountain culture, and Yalu River culture with rural surroundings, pastoral scenery, and urban life. In terms of industrial development, the village primarily focuses on tourism while also promoting eco-friendly specialty agriculture. The construction projects include residential buildings, a rural social welfare center, a folk exhibition hall, and a Goryeo Pavilion. The landscaping features include an archway, decorative walls, a rock garden, water features, squares, cultural walls, and sculptural ornaments. The village is divided into six zones: the Folk Exhibition Area, Health & Recreation Area, Cultural Landscape Area, Dining & Shopping Area, Residential Service Area, and Green Ecology Area. It serves as a comprehensive folk tourism destination that combines leisure, sightseeing, entertainment, dining, shopping, and vacationing.
