Changbai Mountain International Natural Ski Park, Asia’s largest natural snow-themed ski park. It opened on January 12, 2009, on the western slope of Changbai Mountain. This is currently China’s only natural ski park based on natural snow and featuring high-altitude extreme skiing.

Located in the western scenic area of Changbai Mountain, the Changbai Mountain International Natural Ski Park is the first ski resort in China to use high-power snowmobiles for all skiing transportation. It features five natural ski runs, the longest of which is an extreme run stretching 7 kilometers—currently the longest extreme ski run in China. The runs are undulating and full of challenging charm. Ski enthusiasts create swirling white trails down the snow-covered mountains and slopes. Amidst the vast snowy fields, they glide and carve on their boards, speeding down the silver-clad Changbai Mountain. Visitors can also experience driving snowmobiles through forested trails, enjoying the bumps, turns, and downhill thrills in the embrace of the mountains while unleashing their creative enthusiasm.

To cater to beginner skiers, the ski park has also set up a beginner ski training center with professional instructors on-site. It also offers a variety of snow activities such as snow tubing, snowmobile rides, and sledding, along with comprehensive service facilities including a rest area, ski equipment rental zone, and hot food sales area, meeting the diverse needs of extreme athletes and tourists for snow interaction, play, and skiing.

Beyond the wealth of snow sports, visitors can also admire the majestic winter sky lake of Changbai Mountain, the crystal-lined trees and snow-blanketed grand canyon of Changbai. Glide across the board through this naturally formed ski park and fully enjoy the endless fun that snowy Changbai Mountain brings.

Changbai Mountain has a temperate continental mountain climate, with long winters and heavy snowfall. The snow quality is excellent, with the snow season lasting from mid-October to mid-June each year—up to eight months—with snow accumulation reaching 1–2 meters, and in some areas up to 3–4 meters. The snow is soft, fluffy, and pure white. The Changbai Mountain International Natural Ski Park leverages the region’s unique snow resources, designing natural ski runs along the natural streamline contours of the Changbai Mountain volcanic cone. The ski park spans from the alpine tundra zone at an altitude of 2,500 meters to the alpine birch forest zone at 1,700 meters, with a vertical drop of 800 meters and a run length of 8 kilometers.

The Changbai Mountain International Natural Ski Park is 315 kilometers from Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province, and 30 kilometers from Changbai Mountain Airport. The western scenic area entrance is equipped with the four-star Lanjing Days Hotel, which can accommodate over 200 guests.
