Located in Shierdaogou Village, Shierdaogou Township, Changbai County, this site dates back to the Goguryeo era. On August 21, 1996, it was designated as a Baise Mountain City Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the Baise Mountain City People's Government. On February 26, 1999, it was announced as a cultural relics protection unit by the Jilin Provincial People's Government. The pass summit is saddle-shaped, extending from north to southeast all the way to the Yalu River. Because the rocks by the river make passage impossible, travelers had to cross over the mountain ridge. At the northern and middle ends of the ridge, there are towering rocky outcrops with a low valley in between. The eastern and western slopes of the ridge are very steep, making both ascent and descent difficult. The pass was built in the low area between the two rocky outcrops. The strategic location of the pass, situated high above and overlooking the surroundings, served as a military facility controlling the pathways along the Yalu River. It provides important evidence for studying the transportation and military infrastructure during the Goguryeo and Bohai periods.
