Jiaohe City Museum

Established in March 2009, Jiaohe City Museum is located at No. 188 Beijing Road, Jiaohe New District. With a construction area of 200 square meters, it is a comprehensive museum integrating functions such as cultural relic collection, archaeological research, exhibition display, and public education. It is an important window showcasing the long history and splendid culture of the Jiaohe region.

The museum currently houses a total of 1,838 collections, including 1 second-grade cultural relic, 8 third-grade cultural relics, comprising stone tools, porcelain, pottery, calligraphy and paintings, weaponry, and more.

Since its establishment, the museum has carried out numerous promotional activities for cultural relic protection, cultural relic surveys, and cultural relic collection. Through events such as celebrating International Museum Day on May 18, holding symposiums for cultural relic enthusiasts, organizing cultural relic donation ceremonies, hosting special exhibitions, and conducting training sessions, the museum has helped the public learn about, familiarize with, and pay attention to the museum. These efforts have further fostered a positive environment where the entire society cares for, supports, and participates in cultural relic protection, while also raising public awareness of cultural heritage conservation.

Museum Building Information:

In July 2016, Jiaohe City Museum moved into its new building, located at Building 11, Zone F, Shiji Xincun, Jiaohe New District. The new museum covers a construction area of 1,090.5 square meters, with an exhibition area of 800 square meters across two floors. The initial renovation has been completed, the office area has been decorated and put into use, and the exhibition area is currently in the curation and decoration phase. The exhibition halls include the History Exhibition Hall, the Laxin Campaign Memorial Hall, the Folk Culture Relics Exhibition Hall, and the Temporary Exhibition Hall. There are also functional areas for operations, cultural relic appraisal and restoration, offices, and rest areas.

Historical Background:

Established in March 2009, Jiaohe City Museum moved into its new building in July 2016.
