Siping Campaign Memorial Hall

The Siping Campaign Memorial Hall is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

The Siping Campaign Memorial Hall is located at No. 60 Yingxiong Street, Siping City, Jilin Province. It covers a construction area of 2,700 square meters. Above the main entrance are seven gilded characters that read “Siping Campaign Memorial Hall,” personally inscribed by Comrade —. The memorial hall is a sacred site for red tourism and an educational base for young people.

When it was first established in 1958, it was called the “Siping City Exhibition Hall.” Since then, the venue has undergone several name changes (it was renamed the “Siping City Museum” in 1961, the “Siping Campaign Memorial Hall Preparatory Office” in 1963, the “Siping City Museum” again in 1965, reverted to the name “Exhibition Hall” in 1973, and became the “Siping City Museum” in 1980), before finally being named the “Siping Campaign Memorial Hall” in 1987.

Based on functional use, it is divided into five major areas: exhibition area, collection area, office area, comprehensive service area, and central control area, among which the exhibition space covers 3,000 square meters. The exhibition area includes eight main exhibition halls: the Introductory Hall, War History Hall, Support-the-Front Hall, Martyrs Hall, Panoramic Painting Hall, Film & Video Hall, and Temporary Exhibition Hall.

The historical exhibition of the Four Battles of Siping displays over 1,000 items, including photographs, historical documents, and cultural relics. By integrating various display techniques such as sound, light, and electricity, the exhibition delivers a powerful visual impact and artistic appeal, immersing visitors in the intense and bloody historical scenes of the four battles that took place over 50 years ago.

In December 2016, it was included in the “National Red Tourism Attractions and Sites Directory.”

In November 2017, it was awarded the title of “Fifth National Civilized Unit.”

On July 22, 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the Siping Campaign Memorial Hall to revisit revolutionary history and pay tribute to revolutionary martyrs.

Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00–16:30; closed on Mondays (except statutory holidays, and also closed on Lunar New Year’s Eve, the first and second days of the Lunar New Year each year; temporary closure may occur for major events).
