The Yangcaogou Site is a location where relics from both the Neolithic Age and the Bronze Age coexist. Scattered around the site are remains such as red fired soil, plant ash, sandy pottery shards mixed with grit, and sand-tempered pottery shards with impressed “zigzag” patterns. Between 1991 and 1992, the Jilin Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology conducted large-scale archaeological excavations at the site, uncovering two circular house foundations from the Neolithic Age and one round-cornered square house foundation from the Bronze Age.
