Wutaizi Mountain City is a cultural relic protection unit of Jilin Province.

The mountain city is located atop Chengzi Mountain, about 300 meters southeast of Wutaizi Village, Jingtai Town, Yitong Manchu Autonomous County. Locals call it "Chengzi."

The mountain city was built along the contours of the hill, with a nearly square layout. It features a moat-style wall (where earth was piled up on both sides of a ditch to form the rampart), covering an area of approximately 25,000 square meters. A west gate was cut through the mountain ridge. Inside the city, the terrain is higher in the northeast and lower in the southwest. In the northeastern part of the northern area, there is a nearly square platform about 2 meters high, which is the highest point within the city. The site is well-preserved, with clear remains of the moat and walls. Its construction dates back to an early period, roughly equivalent to the late Western Zhou to the Spring and Autumn periods. It is an extremely rare Bronze Age city site and the earliest such site discovered in Jilin Province to date. It holds significant value for studying the Bronze Age culture types, distribution patterns, and historical chronology of the western foothills of Dahei Mountain and the upper reaches of the Dongliao River.

The discovery of this mountain city pushes back the history of ancient cities built by the indigenous people of Jilin Province by several hundred years, and it is of major significance for studying the Bronze Age culture types, distribution patterns, and historical chronology of the western foothills of Dahei Mountain and the upper reaches of the Dongliao River.

The early Bronze Age sites found to the west and north of the city are of similar age to the city site. The cultural content reflected in the artifacts is relatively uniform, with distinct cultural characteristics that are local and indicative in nature. These are among the few early city sites that hold typical representative significance and high value for protection and excavation.
