Liaobin Pagoda is a cultural tourism attraction.

“At Liaobin, sunset paints the sky in flame, where low-hanging clouds reveal heaven’s name. Swallows circle the pagoda, playful and free, while copper bells startle the eaves with their glee.” Constructed in the tenth year of Emperor Tianzuo of Liao’s Qiandong era (1110 AD), Liaobin Pagoda rises about 44 meters high. This octagonal, thirteen-story dense-eave pagoda is composed of a base, main body, eaves, and finial. Having braved a millennium of wind and rain, the pagoda still stands proudly, steadfastly blessing the local people and land, and praying for peace and prosperity across the nation. The ancient Liaozhou City beneath the pagoda witnessed the battles of Sui and Tang emperors, while the gentle waters of the nearby stream murmur tales of golden steeds and fair maidens. The Liaobin Pagoda Scenic Area is being developed into an important cultural base showcasing the history and culture of the Liao Dynasty, the folk traditions of the Khitan people, and the customs of the Manchu ethnic group. It aims to become a scenic destination that organically blends historical legacy with modern tourism needs.

Construction control zone: a secondary control zone extending 60 meters beyond the protected area.
